The Games People Play
Years ago, I read a book called, Games People Play, by Eric Berne, MD. The book is one of those books that has the power to change a reader’s life, and is still on my bookshelf. The book explores the psychological make-up of communications. Perhaps you have wondered why your Mother in Law always manages to raise your blood pressure with a throw away comment, or a backhanded compliment.
The book’s premise is that understanding how communications are put together can help you to redirect the communication, and avoid the heated argument with the person who knows how to push your buttons.
I began to think about the book and its premise recently because one of the games the book describes is, “If it weren’t for you”. The game, “If it weren’t for you”, is played by people who believe that everyone should be injected with the gene-based injections. They argue that if everyone would just do as they are told, we could again live a normal life without worrying about catching COVID19. In other words, if it weren’t for the people they rudely call anti-vaxxers, we could again go to the cinema, go to restaurants, and live a normal life, instead of the new normal.
As a result of their refusal to face reality, it is very easy to get into a heated argument with these people. They absolutely refuse to acknowledge that the gene-based injections are not suitable for everyone, or that there is no one size fits all.
As a scientist or healthcare professional who understands about informed consent, the Declaration of Helskinki, the Geneva Convention, etc, etc, etc, you can try to explain this to them until the cows come home, but they will not see reason. They will still argue that everyone, and I mean everyone, should take the “vaccine” and “do their part” for society. They don’t want to hear that there is a product label with contraindications, and warnings. They don’t care about that. Afterall, they are following the science. One person on Twitter asked me if I knew more than the CDC and Dr. Fauci. I thought to myself, would that really be that hard?
In the end, you realize that the game is not worth playing. They are scared, and don’t want to face the fact that people have been injured and have died, as a result of the inappropriate policies made by the very organizations they idolize.
Let them play their games. It seems to give them comfort. However, make sure that you protect yourself and yours. At some point, they will have a rude awakening as their immune systems rebel. By then the game may have cost them their health, or even their lives.
